Who We Are

Clinical Research Forum

The Association for Clinical and Translational Science

The Association for Clinical and Translational Science, the Clinical Research Forum, and other stakeholders work together through the Coalition for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) to advocate with a unified voice on behalf of the clinical and translational research community. CCTS is a nationwide, grassroots network of dedicated individuals who seek to educate Congress and the administration about the value and importance of clinical and translational research, and research training and career development activities. Our goals are to ensure that the full spectrum of medical research is adequately funded, the next generation of researchers is well-prepared, and the regulatory and public policy environment facilitates ongoing innovation and advancement of the field of clinical and translational science.

What We Do

Policy Priorities

We support policies that secure federal funding, streamline regulatory processes, and enhance career development opportunities for researchers. By working with lawmakers, we ensure that critical investments in medical innovation continue to drive scientific breakthroughs and improve patient care nationwide.

Impact Stories

The hard work doesn’t stop with the “Aha!” moments in the science lab. Clinical and translational research—the work done to bring medical breakthroughs to the patients—is the next step. Modern medicine relies on the insights and practical applications provided by clinical and translational research so that patients can get diagnosed and treated. This is the research that needs volunteer patients, labs, outreach staff, infrastructure and other resources to go from discoveries to therapies and treatments. These are our stories.
